The fact that she's as strong as she is makes it easy enough to push them back up so they can both break through the surface. The first thing she does after taking a breath is throw her head back in a laugh, long wet hair rising up in a wide arc. ]

The ring protruding from his back clicks apart into two halves, the central arm splitting in two to press against the surface. Acting like the feet of a water strider to keep him afloat. ]
