[ Yamada takes the sword in two hands, tip in one hand, handle in the other, staring at it while his eyes sparkle. Literally sparkle, as they change from simply emerald coloured to genuine jewels. When he pushes the button and hears the meow, they change again. The jewels go, but the pupils warp into the silhouette of the cat symbol. This is all unintentional on his part, his subconscious controlling his shape.
He looks back up at her, a big, boyish grin on his face. ]
You get me.
[ He makes it sound like the most pleasant surprise he's ever had. It's scary, to be perceived, but pleasing enough he can handle being scared. ]
[ The entire time she watches eagerly and nervously to each reaction he has. Her own eyes widen as he presses the button and his eyes change again. These are good reactions, exciting reactions, and she's so relieved. ]
I tried! [ Did 'she tried' amount to putting together what she knew about him and then trying to make it a bit silly? Yes, yes it certainly did. But she's beaming with his reaction and how happy he seems to be with it. ]
I always look badass. [ He says casually, as his clothing morphs. The fabric transforms, the shirt disconnecting at the shoulders to fall forwards. Halfway down it puffs into white fur, his jeans sinking into a pair of rough leather boots. He holds the sword up in both hands, parallel to his chest a stern look on his face- aside from the fact his sword is a kitty-themed pink one, he looks like an ideal barbarian warrior. ] Hmmph! I will crush my enemies before me!
[ After a second, he shifts his thumb to hit the button. Meow. ]
Honestly? Not going to argue with that at all. [ Was the intention for her to laugh? She's not entirely sure but she really wants to laugh. She puts a hand to her mouth to try to vaguely hide just how much she's chuckling. It's the contrast between a barbarian and the cat sword that's really getting her. ]
[ Laughter is, in his opinion, in far too short a supply. It started because people don't ask questions of the jester, but these days he's developed a real taste for making people laugh. ]
Just call me Hehehe-Man. [ He swaps to the 'I have the power!' pose for a moment, before twirling the sword around to slide into a scabbard that just grew out of his back. It tingles a little. ] Oh shit, pie.
[ He says it just as calmly and amused as the rest, his clothing reverting- though now the Garfield apron has been replaced with one that matches her gift instead. His hands turn to silicon as he pulls the pie from the oven, holding it up in triumph. Cooked to perfection and smelling divine. ]
Not sure this lives up to your gift, but I hope it'll make your day, at least.
