Yamada can fit decently into most verses with powers. Generally, assume he gained them as a kid through whatever is the usual method in the verse but also with tragic circumstances, turned to then escaped a life of crime, and has been avoiding living up to his potential for most of life. Recently, thanks to the influence of a kid believing in him, he has started trying to be better.

🦸 Superhero verse; Yamada fits very easily into this kind of world, especially the ones where being a hero is a paying job. He's a rookie hero and uses the codename Enigmatic. Heroes who have been in the game for longer than 20 years may have met him as a kid during the city destroying incident of his childhood.
